Success in the financial markets isn’t about winning every single trade; it’s about consistency, strategy, and knowing where the “fresh air” is. This past week in the xBrat Inner Circle Live Trading Room was a perfect testament to that philosophy. As we moved into February, the markets presented a mix of opportunities and challenges. While we faced a mid-week hurdle in the trading room, the overall performance remained strong, proving yet again that disciplined trading and a supportive community are the keys to long-term profitability.
From the currency markets to index futures, we followed the price action where it led us. Sometimes the indexes are “stuffy,” and you have to look elsewhere. This week, currencies provided that breath of fresh air. Here is a detailed breakdown of the week commencing February 2nd, including the strategies we used, the specific trades we took, and the lessons learned along the way.
Monday: Starting Strong with GBPUSD and 6B
We kicked off the week with significant momentum, primarily driven by the currency markets. When the indexes feel congested or lack clear direction, we pivot. This week, that meant focusing heavily on Forex and currency futures.
Monday’s standout performance in the trading room came from the British Pound. We executed a dual approach, trading both the spot Forex pair (GBPUSD) and the futures contract (6B). The setup was classic: we waited for the New York Gold Pit Open, a crucial time of day that often injects volume and volatility into the markets.
The Strategy in Action
The GBPUSD broke through a key support level right after the Gold Pit opened. At the same time, the 6B futures contract mirrored this move. This is where live trading proves its worth. I was on the mic, talking the community through the setup in real-time. We identified that support break and looked for the “impulse move.”
An impulse move is that initial burst of energy in price action. We aren’t trying to catch the entire trend for the next month; we want that clean, directional movement that happens when stops are triggered and new orders flood in.
Once the trade moved in our favor, the priority shifted to risk management. I alerted the room that I was moving my position to risk-free. This is a non-negotiable part of my trading plan. It’s not just about locking in profit; it’s about removing the anxiety of a potential loss. I eventually flattened the position for a $600 gain on four contracts of 6B. Several members followed suit, banking profits alongside me.

We also managed a small scalp on the Micro E-mini S&P 500 (MES) using the VWAP Predator strategy. It was a modest $50 win, but it demonstrated the versatility of trading multiple asset classes simultaneously.
Tuesday: Patience Pays Off with the Euro (6E)
Tuesday required a different kind of discipline: the discipline to cancel orders. We had setups for Gold and Oil that didn’t quite materialize the way we wanted, so we pulled the plug on those pending orders. In trading, the trades you don’t take are often as important as the ones you do.
However, patience was rewarded with a fantastic opportunity on the 6E (Euro futures). Similar to Monday, we utilized the New York Gold Pit Open strategy. The influx of volume during this window often impacts the US Dollar, creating ripples across major currency pairs.
Executing the Short in the Trading Room
We set up a short position on the 6E futures and the EURUSD Forex pair. The market reacted exactly as anticipated, hitting my target cleanly. I traded five contracts on the futures side, resulting in a solid win.
Interestingly, I held the Forex trade a bit longer, hoping to see a break of a specific pivot point. The support held firm, and we didn’t get that extended breakdown, but the primary futures trade was a success. This highlights the importance of having a plan but also recognizing when the market structure (like a strong support level) is telling you to take your profits off the table.

Wednesday: The Reality of “Kissing Frogs”
Transparency is vital in this industry. Not every day is a massive winner in the trading room, and Wednesday was our “losing day” for the week. It wasn’t a disastrous day, but it was a day of small, accumulated losses. I often refer to this as “kissing frogs.” You are probing the market with proven strategies, but the market just isn’t giving you the follow-through you need.
We had a mix of small losses, primarily because the market was choppy. However, we did manage a win on the Swiss Franc (6S).
The Inverse Correlation Play
The Swiss Franc trade was interesting because it relied on inverse correlation. As the futures contract (6S) was moving down, the USDCHF Forex pair was moving up. We identified the setup, placed our orders, and managed the risk. Even though the day ended slightly red overall, the Swiss Franc trade demonstrated that opportunities exist even on difficult days if you know where to look.
One frustration on Wednesday was the difference between spot Forex and futures. On the USDCHF pair, the spread widened and tipped me out of the trade before it turned back around. Meanwhile, the futures contract kept me in. This is a great lesson in understanding your instrument, sometimes futures offer a cleaner execution environment than spot Forex during volatile periods.
Thursday: The Comeback and the Big Win
After a tricky Wednesday, Thursday was about recovery and capitalization. We started by cancelling orders that weren’t filling properly—again, exercising patience. Then, the futures market gave us the setup we were waiting for.
The trade moved so fast I couldn’t even capture screenshots in real-time. I was too busy managing the position and updating the live room via our Slack huddle. The market provided a massive impulse move that filled the hole left by Wednesday’s small losses and then some.
Restoring the Green
That single trade netted $1,500, and one of our key community members, Richard, took the same trade with similar success. I also traded it on a separate account using Micro contracts (MES).

This day perfectly illustrated the psychological aspect of trading. Wednesday might have felt discouraging with “cumulative losers,” but by sticking to the same strategies and not revenge trading, we caught a big winner on Thursday that put the week firmly back in the green. I shared my live account balance with the room to show that I was back up over $2,000 for the week. Consistency is key; you will have losers, but your winners should outpace them.

Friday: Finishing Strong with RTY, 6A, and Community Wins
Friday is often a day to wind down, but the opportunities kept coming. The session was busy, with multiple trades active across different instruments.
The RTY (Russell 2000) Trade
We spotted a setup on the Russell 2000 (RTY) and Micro Russell (M2K) using the VWAP Predator on a 10-minute chart. The signal printed, and price closed above a resistance zone.
What was fantastic about this trade wasn’t just the setup in the trading room, but how the community handled it. One member shared a video of his screen showing his trade copier in action, adjusting stops on TradingView while his NinjaTrader account mirrored the moves instantly. He managed the trade beautifully, trailing his stop to lock in profits as the price climbed.
The 6A and 6E Impulse Moves
We also saw action in the Australian Dollar (6A) and another great run on the Euro (6E). The 6E trade was phenomenal, netting a $1,000 profit. It was another New York Gold Pit Open play, confirming that this time-based strategy is highly reliable for currencies.
At the same time, “Captain Mal,” another active trader in our room, traded the same instrument but used a different strategy, showing the power of confluence. When multiple strategies point in the same direction, your confidence in the trade skyrockets.
We wrapped up the day with a quick scalp on the MES using the Slingshot strategy, waiting for a pullback and targeting the next level up. Also a nice Oil trade from Captain Mal, who pulled $500 out of the market using multi-timeframe support and resistance zones.
Conclusion: The Power of Community and Consistency
Looking back at the week commencing February 2nd, the results speak for themselves. Despite a mid-week stumble, we ended the week profitable, with significant wins in Currency Futures (6B, 6E) and Index Futures.
This week highlighted several core trading truths:
- Adaptability: We moved to currencies when indexes were slow.
- Risk Management: We aggressively moved to risk-free and accepted small losses on Wednesday to preserve capital for Thursday’s big win.
- Community: The “xBrat Inner Circle” room isn’t just me talking. It’s members like Richard and Captain Mal sharing their screens, their trades, and their successes.
We are now in our third week of 2026, and the room is growing fast. The camaraderie is building, and traders are learning not just from me, but from each other. Whether you trade Forex, Futures, or use trade copiers, having a tribe of like-minded individuals is invaluable.
